- Prepare the sanding area
They will ask you to pick up all your things from the area. After clearing the room, they will remove the doors, label the show molding, remove all carpet staples, and cover the vents, light fixtures, and doorways with plastic.
This process is carried out in three sessions. First, the sander with 30-40 grit sandpaper is used, then medium 50-60 grit and finally 80-100 grit. The purpose of sanding is to create a smooth surface.
If the floor is rough after sanding, buffing is done. It helps smoothen the floor surface. Buffing is initially done with 100-grit paper and if it still does not work then 120-grit screen is used.

. Vacuuming and wiping is also a part of cleaning. This whole process helps clean the dust from walls, windowsills, fans and other fixtures.

If staining process is not done then sealer is used. It adds up more shine to the floor.

The refinishing of floor culminates with an application of polyurethane. This provides amber tone to the wood.
